Christmas Day*

Well, today I want to talk about my Christmas day.

First, I wake up early because my sister was really excited to open the presents that Santa Claus give us.I remember when I was little that I had the same hope like my sister, but since 2 years ago it’s different, I feel that my friends and I grown up and on the one hand I’m happy, because I’ll be independent, but on the other hand, I’m sad, because my typical life will change.

So, another day I’ll explain my feelings about this, but now, I continue to tell you my Christmas Day.
After the presents, my family and I get ready for this day and immediately we went to my grandparents’ house.
In my grandparent’s house there were all of my father family, they’re 4 brothers and his own soon. For this reason, when we “caguem el tio” we need 1 or 2 hours and it’s a bit tired for our parents, but to my cousins and sister it’s a really funny moment in their life.

Finally, when we arrived at home, my sister and I save our presents and later we watched a film together.
It was another Christmas Day like every year.

Last night*

Today I talk about last night, it was really funny night.

At first I went to Neus’ house, because Rebeca and Mercè pick up there. As we waited our friends, we had a few free minutes and for this we took a lot of photos and this picture is one of this.
Later, at 12 o’clock approximately, we went to discotheque Fata and luckily we haven’t do the line because it was early and the people hadn’t arrived yet.
After a while, we came into Fata and started dance in the dance floor, but there wasn’t anybody, only a few girls who dance with us. Then, we were tired and went back to the bar to drink something.
When we returned in the dance floor, people were multiply quickly. From that moment on we dance like we had never danced ago, for this reason last night become in specially and memorable night.

Next week, we went in Millenium, and I’m sure that this next night will be more memorable than last night, because we will celebrate Neus’ birthday =)

Halloween Costums*

Today is a special day. Why?

Because is Halloween :S , a Traditional night that children and young people celebrated since XIX century.
This people decorated their houses and streets with a typical Halloween symbols, for example: witches, black cats, pumpkins, candles, masks, parties and pranks, etc.
Halloween appeared in the U.S. during the late 1800's.
In 1848, millions of Irish emigrants poured into America as a result of the potato famine. With this sudden influx of people, the holiday of Druidism found its new home on alien shores.

-Halloween symbols:

Pumpkins have been an essential part of Halloween celebrations ever since, they were cut with faces representing demons and was originally intended to frighten away evil spirits. It was said that if a demon or such were to encounter something as fiendish looking as themselves that they'd run away in terror.

Black cats were considered to be reincarnated beings with the ability to divine the future, and also, the people believed that these creatures could communicate with the spirits of the dead.

To witches, Halloween is a festival of the dead, and represents the "end and the beginning of the witches year. At this time is considered the best time to contact spirits.

Well, to have a horrific Halloween :)

Marseille =)

In this picture you can see this fabulous city near the sea. This city is Marseille and I love it for different reasons. On the one hand, because I like this landscape, it’s very exciting see all the city from height. In this city there are mountain and sea, and it’s more or less like Barcelona, but there are more immigrants. Also it’s very big, there are two zones, normally like all cities, a good one and bad zone, someone told me the bad zone is very dangerous, especially at nigh, because there are a lot of drug addict and another bad things.
On the other hand, it’s special for me, because my special French friend lives there and he shown me the best landscapes, for this I have really effect with this city.
And, If you go in Marseille, I recommend you to go to shopping because there are a lot of fashion shops, go to beach, discotheques, restaurants, big stadium, etc.
It’s very touristic city, similar than la Costa Brava.
In my opinion, the only bad factor in this city is the cars, because all people feel stress and all Marseilles’ are impatiens when they stay in the bypass and highway.

So… patience with this Marseilles =)

Guacamole recipe =)

Today, I want to put a guacamole recipe because if you want, you can do this typical mexican dish.
Guacamole, is originally from Mexico, I know this dish because my aunt is mexican, ans she tell me this famous recipe for mexicans. The name is derived from two Aztec Nahuatl words:
- ahuacatl (avocado)
- molli (sauce)
The trick to perfect guacamole is using good, ripe avocados. Check for ripeness avocado and pressing the outside. If there is no give, the avocado is not ripe yet and will not taste good. If there is a lot of give, the avocado may be past ripe and not good. In this case, taste test first before using.

Well, the ingredients are:

2 ripe avocados
½ red onion, minced (about 1/2 cup)
1-2 serrano chiles, stems and seeds removed, minced
2 tablespoons cilantro leaves, finely chopped
1 tablespoon of fresh lime or lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon coarse salt
A dash of freshly grated black pepper
1/2 ripe tomato, seeds and pulp removed, chopped

Method:
1 Cut avocados in half. Remove seed. Scoop out avacado from the peel and put in a mixing bowl.
2 Using a fork, mash the avocado. Add the chopped onion, cilantro, lime or lemon, salt and pepper (be careful) and mash some more.
Keep the tomatoes separate until ready to serve.
3 Cover with plastic wrap directly on the surface of the guacamole to prevent oxidation from the air reaching it. Then put into the firdge.
4 Just before serving, add the chopped tomato to the guacamole and mix.

So, enjoy your meal =)

Palma de Mallorca Holidays :P

Today, I want to tell about my last holidays in Palma de Mallorca. At first, my family and I were going with our boat to surf in Costa Brava for three days, exactly in Cadaques, Port Lligat and Port de la Selva, but in the fourth day, we were feeling tired to stay in our boat, and in this moment my father was researching a ticket to go to Mallorca. One hour later, my dad was buying four tickets and before the night we stayed in Palma.

First day in Mallorca we were going round almost all the island. In the morning we were visiting to “Coves del Drac”, in the afternoon we were going to Inca, the fur coat city in Catalonia and at night we were dinning in a pizzeria.Second day was more relaxing because we were going to beach and finally, third day we visited a famous palace in Mallorca.

It was a spontaneous travel, but really exciting!
Pd: the photo was the last day in Mallorca, when my mum drove her car to go to ferry.
